Product Care
General Leather Care:
To keep your leather goods in top condition, we recommend taking a few precautions. Avoid exposing them to water, prolonged sunlight, or extreme weather conditions, and refrain from overloading your wallet or bag as this can cause accelerated wear and stretching.
Leather is a natural material, so it's normal for each item to have its own unique characteristics such as natural marks, slight discolouration, or changes in texture. We take care to select the best hides possible, but variations are to be expected. As time passes, some leathers will develop markings more easily than others, and some may even change colour.
Most of our pieces are produced using chrome-tanned leather and some are produced using vegetable-tanned leather. Both of these require a different level of care.
Our chrome-tanned leather items have a durable, water-resistant finish and do not need to be conditioned regular. If you wish to maximize water resistance you can apply leather wax.
For vegetable-tanned leather, we suggest applying a high-quality leather conditioner every 6 to 12 months. This will help keep the leather well-conditioned and protected.
Vegetable-Tanned Leather:
Our vegetable-tanned leather items are known for their exceptional strength and long-lasting durability. Over time, the leather will develop a beautiful patina, softening and darkening with use. Because it is undyed, Natural vegetable-tanned leather is prone to absorbing oil, stains, and darkening with sun exposure. While these marks add character to your piece, we recommend taking extra care to protect it from oil and water-based stains. We suggest using a leather protector or conditioner specifically formulated for vegetable-tanned leather. With proper care, your vegetable-tanned leather piece will age beautifully and become a cherished item for years to come.
Hardware:
Key Tags: We use 100% solid brass hardware and stainless steel for our key tags. Overloading brass Mini Carabiner, Heart Ring, or D-Ring can cause hardware to warp.
